Sven Ratzke has won the Johan Kaart Prijs 2024. The jury of the Johan Kaart Prijs admires Ratzke’s boundless energy and the fact that he showcases all aspects of his craft in every performance.
“Sven Ratzke is an unparalleled theater personality who occupies a unique place in the theater landscape,” according to the jury report. “A master in all aspects: acting, singing, and performance. As an audience, you are drawn into his energy and performance, and with his completely unique style, he manages to touch and connect.“
The Johan Kaart Prijs will be awarded on Monday, July 1st, at the DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam, and the ceremony will feature performances by artists who have played significant roles in Sven Ratzke’s life.
